Once again, a big thank you to all of our parents for their fantastic support with our World Book Day celebrations.

In preparation for World Book Day, our children participated in an Extreme Reading Challenge, where they had to take photos of themselves reading in Extreme and Unusual places. We had some fantastic entries.

Schools Library Services will be judging our entries and one lucky winner from each class will win a £10 book token.

The snow didn't stop us enjoying World Book Day, as our children and staff dressed up as Where's Wally and took part in lots of fun activities throughout the school. Children had the opportunity to take part in our Big Book Swap where they brought books they had read at home to swap with their friends in school.

Throughout our busy day, our Class 1 children enjoyed the story of the Gruffalo and made Gruffalo masks and even a Gruffalo crumble!

In Class 2, children practised their good writing skills with a character description of Where's Wally and also made character puppets from their favourite books.

Class 3 children had fun writing a World Book Day Top 5 of favourite books and making a collage of book characters.

In Classes 4 and 5, children took part in book-related competitions and quizzes, and designed the front covers of their favourite books.

All in all, it was another fantastic World Book Day!
