World Book Day - 2nd March 2017

THE FANTASTIC WHERE'S WALLY DERWENT VALE SCHOOL SEARCH!

On World Book Day, Thursday 2 March 2017, and to celebrate 30 years of Where's Wally? eagle-eyed Wally-watchers at Derwent Vale Primary and Nursery School dressed up as Wally or Wanda and set off on a hunt to find Wally hidden in our school playground. He was hidden in the most unusual places ...

Children who found Wally received The Fantastic Where's Wally? School Search certificate.

Throughout World Book Day, Derwent Vale children across the school engaged in lots of fun book-related and Wally-themed activities, such as a Where's Wally Weighing morning, quizzes, competitions, games, making bookmarks, baking Wally Gingerbread biscuits, designing National Book Tokens and watching and listening to our favourite authors read from their books online.

Parents and carers joined us throughout the day to share a book with us, and enjoy hot chocolate and biscuits.

Thank you to everyone for helping to make our Wally World Book Day
at Derwent Vale Primary and Nursery School such a great success!
